We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Band 3 Podiatry Assistant to join the Podiatry Service of Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. The Podiatry Service offers a comprehensive range of Podiatry treatments to the local population of Kent

The post holder will provide nail care sessions from various local community clinics within the area. They will be responsible for the preparation of the clinical room, ensuring that there is adequate stock to carry out the session. They will ensure that the clinic sessions run effectively and efficiently maximising the use of clinic time. The Podiatry Assistant will be working alongside Clinical Staff

They must have an ability to work following policies, procedures and practices requiring an understanding of podiatry, acquired through on-the job training. They will actively engage in promoting the nail cutting service.

A comprehensive corporate induction programme is given at the commencement of employment. As well as this the Podiatry Department offers its own induction package covering all aspects of clinical care. The whole Podiatry department comes together regularly for training days and staff meetings.

There is also a yearly review of the department where all staff can have an input into the departmental business plan. Each local team has regular monthly team meetings where information is cascaded and discussed. The service is delivered in community clinics and health centres.
